Have you always wanted to learn more about cooking authentic Chinese food? In this class, industry expert and Hong Kong native Chef Peter Kwong will teach you Chinese food fundamentals and different regional cooking styles.

Program Description

More than a cooking class

In this hands-on series, participants will create and sample authentic Chinese food while learning cooking fundamentals. They will learn about different styles of regional cooking - Cantonese, Szechuan, Hunan, Shanghai, and Peking. Learn how to use local ingredients instead of hunting for expensive ingredients, and how to use different cooking methods to create the best tasting cuisine in your own home. Join Chef Peter Kwong as he teaches you about Chinese cooking styles, taste-test the recipes in class and take home printed recipes to recreate at home.


Chef Peter Kwong shares his 30 years working in the hospitality industry. He has been an instructor and served as an adjunct professor of Restaurant Management at International Culinary School. He also started La Brasa Rotisserie Restaurant in Milwaukee where he incorporated a Latino flair. Originating in Hong Kong, he shares his positive world view and gentle wisdom through his classes.
