Aging and Dementia Series

Meet the Growing Need for Skilled, Empathetic Aging Care

As our population ages, professionals like you are increasingly called upon to support older adults, those living with dementia, and their caregivers. Between 2010 and 2020, the number of U.S. residents aged 65+ grew by 38.6%, from 40.3 million to 55.8 million—bringing with it rising rates of chronic conditions, emotional needs, and complex care challenges.

Grounded in research and real-world experience, the series explores how the body and mind change over time, how to distinguish normal aging from disease, and how to better understand those navigating memory loss, identity, and connection in later life.

Dr. Mays is amazing. He is prepared and gives excellent information. I do all of his trainings when I can find them.
