Artificial intelligence is no longer a tool of the future—it is reshaping how professionals communicate, make decisions, and approach everyday work. This interactive three-part series provides practical, hands-on learning to help you confidently use AI in your daily work, improve productivity, and make informed decisions.

Designed for professionals across industries and led by three AI experts, you'll explore real-world AI applications and effective prompting techniques using ChatGPT. Through in-person discussions and hands-on activities, you'll learn to use AI for tasks such as communication, planning, research, and content creation, while understanding the importance of privacy, bias, and human judgment.

  • Explain the benefits, limitations, and key risks of using AI in workplace decision-making.
  • Assess AI-generated outputs for accuracy, bias, reliability, and potential risks before using them in professional contexts.
  • Apply practical strategies for using AI responsibly by protecting sensitive information, maintaining human oversight, and following organizational best practices.

Requirements

To earn this microcredential, you must:

  • Complete the synchronous portion of the course
  • Identify a personal or organizational workplace process, challenge, or opportunity where AI could provide value
  • Develop a strategy outlining potential AI applications, workflow improvements, ethical considerations, organizational readiness, and measures for success
  • Submit your project on Canvas within two weeks of the course concluding for instructor review and approval

Earn Your Microcredential

Upon successful completion, you’ll be awarded the AI Strategy Microcredential, providing you with a verifiable credential that demonstrates your ability to:

  • Understand foundational AI concepts
  • Assess ethical and organizational risks

    Dr. Sarbottam Bhagat is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Business Analytics at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. His work focuses on how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and data analytics are used in organizations, with research spanning cybersecurity behavior, digital trust, and information quality. He studies how individuals and organizations adopt and respond to technology, and how these tools shape decision-making, performance, and value creation.

    As an educator and researcher, Dr. Bhagat helps professionals and students turn complex technological change into practical understanding. His work emphasizes not only the strategic use of data and AI, but also the human and organizational factors that influence responsible and effective use in real-world settings.

CEU Information

Participants will earn 1.4 Continuing Education Units ( 14 Contact Hours) upon completion of this program.

If your program is less than 14 days away:
You may transfer once to any currently available program, plus a 20% transfer fee.
If you cancel, you will not receive a refund.
