Strategies for challenging times
Finding adequate funding is an ongoing struggle for nonprofit organizations of all types and sizes. Due to the impacts of COVID‐ 19, this need for funding may be compounded by increased demand for resources from your constituents and/or increased competition for funding.
Fundraising is critical to every nonprofit organization and it’s important to stay true to the mission along the way. Fortunately, there are many ways to do it. And truth be told, it can be fun! In this vital program, you will first learn about the spirit and ethics of giving. After that, you will learn how and why to diversify in order to reach fundraising goals. Ultimately, you will come to understand why a fund development plan is crucial.
Specific, useful tools will be shared for attendees to take with them to lead them into their fundraising future.

Stacy Shapiro is President of Shapiro Strategies (a consulting and training firm) and has over 20 years of leadership experience. She received a communications degree from UW-Madison and has held various leadership roles nationwide. Stacy served as a Regional Director for the American Heart Association in Salt Lake City, UT, as well as the Executive Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters in La Crosse, WI.
In her current work, she passionately encourages nonprofits, organizations, and businesses to focus on quality leadership, forward-thinking agency and business development, positive communications, and pursuing excellence…all while setting a values-driven course for the future.
