Barron County Music Ensembles

Let's make some music!

The Barron County Music Ensembles provide meaningful musical experiences for adult community members interested in continuing their involvement in the performing arts. Hosted by UW-Eau Claire – Barron County in Rice Lake and directed by experienced university-affiliated instructors, these ensembles offer opportunities to grow musically, engage in high-quality performances, and contribute to the cultural enrichment of the region.

Participation is open to adult musicians and vocalists from throughout the community. Each ensemble offers a unique musical focus, with varying levels of commitment and entry requirements.

Programs in Music Ensembles

  1. Communiversity Band

    Rice Lake

    Communiversity Band is a joint effort of the UWEC Barron County Music Department and the adult musicians of the surrounding communities.

  2. Northwinds Brass Band

    Rice Lake

    The Northwinds Brass Band is formed in the British tradition of brass and percussion.

  3. Red Cedar Choir

    Rice Lake

    Red Cedar Choir is a joint effort of the UWEC-Barron County Music Department and the adult vocalists of the surrounding communities. You will have the incredible opportunity to sing and be part of one of the best choirs in the area.
